Alfie Burden’s Fairytale Return to the Crucible

Professional snooker player Alfie Burden hopes to return to the storied Crucible arena 25 years after his last appearance there. Burden has spent the majority of his career on the road, although he hasn’t played in the Crucible since 1998, when he made two century but lost to Tony Drago 10-8. This Historic moment of Alfie Burden’s Fairytale Return To The Crucible is a hope for Snooker.

Burden has qualified for the World Seniors, where she intends to compete in the World Championship’s round of 32. To reach the Crucible and maintain his tour card, which is his ultimate ambition, he has to win four games.

Burden had previously resigned in 2020, but he came back after taking a year off and regained his professional status in 2021 by passing Q School. After his sabbatical and adjusting his cue, he struggled to get results, but he is again feeling upbeat and is playing excellent snooker once more.

Burden’s first-round opponent in the qualifications will be Rebecca Kenna. Burden is courteous and won’t be taking the bout lightly despite Kenna still being new to the game. He has a lot more snooker to play in Sheffield since the format is changing back to best of 19, but the opportunity to gain momentum is great.

Prior to the qualifications, Burden has been working out with his old friend Jimmy White, who has motivated him to keep working hard.
