Delhi Metro Goes Extra Mile for IPL 2023 Matches

During match days at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, commonly known as the Feroz Shah Kotla pitch, the Delhi Metro has stated that it will extend the last train schedules by around 30-45 minutes on all corridors, with the exception of the Airport Express line. The stadium is close to the Raja Nahar Singh to Kashmere Gate violet line metro station, which is located at Delhi Gate.

It is planned for the additional train excursions to provide a connected service to all directions from the interchange stations of Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Kashmere Gate, Kirti Nagar, Inderlok, and Lajpat Nagar. The move is meant to make it easier for spectators to get where they’re going.

To help commuters on match days, the Delhi Metro has scheduled the deployment of additional token vending machines, pre-vended token counters, and employees at the Delhi Gate Metro station. On April 4, 11, 20, and 29, as well as on May 6, 13, and 20, there will be IPL games.
