India ‘A’ defeated England ‘A’ 4-3 in the Women’s Snooker World Cup final on February 27 in Bangkok (56-26, 67 (51)-27, 41-61, 27-52, 68 (34)-11, 55-64, 78-39).
India ‘A’, which was represented by unranked players Amee Kamani and Anupama Ramachandran, defeated seasoned tour competitors Reanne Evans (12-time world champion) and Rebecca Kenna, who is now ranked fourth in the world, to win the championship.
