He reveals in the interview that He was about to quit playing snooker past few years back because of some personal reasons.

After this surgery, He Dubbed ”The Magicians” and felt a little bit confident despite that he lost against Jack Lisowski in the month of November at the quarter Finals. Also He was conquered by Robert Milkins with a close win from 9-7.

”There have been several times when I’ve truly questioned whether or not I’m on the correct road” Murphy stated in a conversation with The Yorkshire Post. “Do I still play snooker professionally? You spend a lot of time away from your wife and kids, so is it worthwhile to pursue? Does it merit it?

Past few years have been very difficult for him, from health issues to mindset change he grew from there. He also mentioned in the interview that weight gain Issue was always his enemy and he was fighting with this problem since his childhood. No matter what It is affecting his game and lifestyle very badly.
